I thought I would write a little bit of information about us and this site, and how it is all made. This whole site runs on the Joomla Content Management System. Joomla is completely open source, which means it is a) Free and b) Continually updated. The Joomla CMS is one of the largest content managment systems on the planet, and allows the creation of template based web sites. To give you an idea of just how easy it is, this whole site was created in less than 2 days. Now, the joomla CMS uses templates and by far (in my considered opinion) the best at creating templates are Rocket Themes. The reason these 2 are the best is simple...quality of product, and the support that they give. Just the other day, at 10 in the evening I posted a question on the Rocket Themes Forum...within 5 minutes I had an answer posted back by one of the moderators. Open Source on the whole is fantastic, there are so many people from all walks of life with all skill levels contributing there expertise and knowledge, and its all Free. This site itself as you know is dedicated to Ants. I have always been fascinated by ants. I used to keep them when I was a teenager, and then later in my late twenties, and now again in my not so late thirties. I have had numerous websites over the years, the first of these was SithCentral, dedicated to PC computer game Jedi Knight...this is also where my screen name comes from...Jaikaiman is a starwarsified lengthening of J K Man, or Jedi Knight Man. Next came EdenCentral, a site dedicated to the PC game Black and White by Peter Molyneux. At the time this was the 3rd largest Black and White dedicated site on the WWW. Next was Perplexme.Co.Uk - which is still running, and had over 100,000 visitors. This was my first site built with Joomla and based around a Rocket Theme. It is a site dedicated to the Online Alternate Reality Game Perplex City. Unfortunately the game has come to an end, so I am keeping the site running just for those stragglers who are still playing. And one site for a friend, dismembermyenemy.co.uk. I have also done about 4 company websites for a number of bathroom retail companies, mainly because I work for bathroom retailers. Anyway, keep the spirit of open source alive...cheers for now! http://www.dismembermyenemy.co.uk |

| Yep thats right peeps, a brand new section graces the sight. Its called Ant Keeping, and is about formicariums, ant foods with new pages to be added soon. YAY! |
